Charlene Friar is a UK-based screenwriter and producer specializing in character-driven drama, comedy-drama, and audio storytelling. Her work blends sharp dialogue, emotional realism, and commercial concepts designed for broadcast and streaming platforms.

She won the My Smash Media Pitching Competition for her original project Grassroots and was selected at the Glasgow Telly Festival.

She holds an MA in TV Fiction Writing and is currently developing multiple original series and audio productions.

She is currently in collaboration with production companies on a variety of scripts and is represented by Take One Agency
